ART // Graffiti & Technology Summit 2019

*** World Premiere ***
A world premiere: Experience the 1st Graffiti & Technology Summit, taking place in Berlin. Expect a clash of graffiti and technology as well as the celebration of BACKJUMPS’ 25th anniversary. World-known curators and artists invite the audience to witness innovative art-installations and participate in Art & Tech-Workshops.

BACKJUMPS was founded 1994 as a fanzine dedicated to Graffiti culture before it matured into a magazine, an exhibition format and international network for artists and actionists.

Adrian Nabi is Germany’s most respected Urban Art Curator. He examined urban culture phenomena already back in the late 1980s, pioneered by acknowledging creative expression on the streets, blurring the demarcation lines between the inside and outside of urban art forms. He founded BACKJUMPS as a print medium in 1994 – a fanzine dedicated to Graffiti culture that matured into a magazine.

In Summer 2003, as a further transformation, he broke new ground with the milestone event “BACKJUMPS Live Issue #1”, bringing now- established names such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Swoon amongst others to Berlin.

Today, 25 years later – BACKJUMPS is an authority on urban communication and aesthetics, as well as an established platform to blend culture, urban space, the art world, digital technologies and exhibition formats as one.
