2024 is clearly dominated by Andy Warhol. While the battleships of high culture, the National Gallery and Fotografiska, are primarily dedicated to a museum presentation of Warhol’s work, the best place to get that “factory feeling” is at the ANDY WARHOLS GARDEN PARTY:
Pop meets Art on a green island in Berlin Mitte/Kreuzberg called Frieda Süd with free admission.
On Sunday, September 1, the area on Friedrichstraße will once again be a place where art and music meet. In the spirit of the Factory, Frieda Süd will be transformed into Andy Warhol’s garden party with 3 bands, 3 DJs and lots of art activities.
Rarely have pop and art come so close as at the shows by Neoangin, Twins in Color and Grateful Cat, all stylishly framed by DJs Future Sailor (What Difference Does It Make/My Little Underground), Olli Goolightly and Sunshine Schmitt. Great prizes can also be won at the factory bingo and at the “15 minutes of game” – the Andy Warhol quiz with Jenny Zylka.
But that’s not all. Campbell soup cans will be hanging in the trees and Art Frieda Basel awaits you in a circus tent with several artists who will be printing or ironing their motifs live on your shirt.
