Musician, visual artist, and founding member of Sonic Youth, Kim Gordon will appear in Berlin to support her second solo LP 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦, brilliantly current in its grinding approximation of capitalist horrors, ransacking of social media bleakness, and playful evisceration of toxic masculinity.
Released by Matador, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 pulses with damaged, blown out dub and trap constructions playing the foil to Gordon’s intuitive word collages and hooky mantras that conjure communication, commercial sublimation and sensory overload.
