New Jersey – Marc Vallée & SHADWELL BASIN/ GORDON HOUSE, TOWER HAMLETS 2019-23. – JAVIER GALERA

Marc will present a series of prints from his photobook 90s Archive: Volume Two of American youth. The book tells the stories of young men, skaters and surfers he met in the mid-90s on the south New Jersey shore. The book is held in the collections of Tate Britain, the Martin Parr Foundation and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris.

Javier will be showing a series of photographs from his latest installation project Aquascaping, curated and produced by creative label Katharsis. Combining digital prints with found everyday objects, Aquascaping explores notions of community and home, capturing the summer months at Shadwell Basin, London – a mass of water in urban East London that acts as a beach for the residents during the hottest days of the year.
