SUMMARY:CRONENBERG'S GARDEN - exhibition feat. Emeli Theander & Aline Schwörer at SomoS
DESCRIPTION:SomoS Arts\, in collaboration with Curator-in-Residence Lindsay Inglis\, is pleased to announce the exhibition Croneberg’s Garden\, featuring the works of visual artists Emeli Theander and Aline Schwörer.\nAbout the Exhibition:\nThrough the visual dialogue of sculpture and painting\, the exhibition explores the changing relationship between humanity and the natural world. Building upon the themes such as human body fascination\, physical transformation\, technology\, surrealism\, and obscurity present in the artistic work of Canadian director David Cronenberg\, the exhibition examines the complexities of the body’s relationship with the environment.\nTheander’s paintings conjure dreamlike landscapes in which figures blend into their surroundings\, dissolving the boundaries between the individual and the external world. In contrast\, Schwörer’s sculptures evoke artifacts of an imagined future that visualize the Anthropocene\, where human actions have led to the disappearance of traditional ecosystems.\nEvent Details:\nOpening reception: Tuesday\, February 25\, 2025 6 – 9 p.m.\nExhibition duration: Wednesday\, February 26\, 2025 – Saturday\, March 8\, 2025\, 2- 7 p.m.\, Tuesday-Saturday\, or by appointment\nFree entry\nLocation: SomoS – Kotbusser Damm 95\, 1.0G\, 10967 Berlin\nU8 – Schönleinstraße\n🔗 More info: https://somos.media/-u\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/3472949623012540/

So get your tickets quickly and watch this very intense film with us in the Creepy Crypt on March 1st. \nAgent Mark (Sam Neill) handles various discreet matters for the government\, which often take him to faraway places for a few days with a suitcase full of money. When he returns from an assignment one day\, his wife Anna (Isabelle Adjani) asks him for a divorce without giving any reason. Although Mark would rather save the marriage\, he agrees to the divorce and gives Anna custody of their son Bob (Michael Hogben) and the apartment. But he can’t let go. He develops a longing for her that soon turns into an obsession. When he goes to Anna’s apartment\, he only finds her neglected son. He eventually learns from one of Anna’s friends that she has been behaving strangely for a long time and is often missing for periods of time. Gradually\, Mark realizes that something is very wrong with Anna… \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1259330685140620/
