We ain’t new to this.\nWhere there is darkness\, we shall be the light switch.\nThere is a Hebrew term “La’asot Same’ach!”\, which translates into “making happiness”. This is our role\, this is our mission.\nKarneval de Purim returns\, once again\, despite and because of it all\, to color the night skies of Berlin with love\, and to fill the cosy rooms of Renate – probably for the last time – with smiles and sweet escapism.\nWe’re here\, and we keep on dancing.\n25 DJs\, live acts and performers join us on 5 floors with 5 musical styles.\nFrom House music in the Green Room to Disco in the Red Room. From Techno in the secret floor (M01) to Psytrance in the Hangout-Nova floor. And of course\, as always\, the highlight: our “Hafla” floor\, bringing you the most danceable Middle-Eastern and Jewish hits that will make shout from joy.\nFAQ\n1. Who’s invited?\n– Every human-loving being\, regardless of their background or their ID.\n2. Dress code?\n– Karneval de Purim is a costume party. Please make an effort and wear a costume or a mask. In case you don’t have one\, you can get one at the club.\n3. Will there be extra security at the event?\n– Yes\, there will be. The event was also registered at the local police.\n4. What is not allowed inside the club?\n– Bags\, photography\, and all the nasty “isms”\, such as racism\, antisemitism\, sexism and homophobia.\n5. The concept is to create a clear musical distinction between the different parts of the night. We strive to create a clear beginning and a decisive end.\nThe Expeditions’ main focus lies on the classical and traditional aspects of Techno: from Detroit groove to hypnotic and atmospheric storytelling. It is being complemented by the more contemporary interpretations of the genre.\nWe believe in Techno as a journey\, designed for the dance floor\, rather than for podcasts. “When you Stop Moving\, you Start Dying”\, and therefore\, the common denominator to all Expeditions events and curation is energy and movement.\n▆ What to expect\n⦿ Power Deck: Well curated interpretations of classic Techno music: from Detroit groove\, to hypnotics and atmospheric beats.\nNo minimalism\, no sophisticated preaching.\n⦿ Speed Deck: Young\, fresh\, cheeky and trancy contemporary interpretations of Techno.\n⦿ DJs at eye level\, musically educated audience and Berlin underground at its best.\n▆ FAQ\n⦿ Is there a dress-code? – No\, the Expeditions doesn’t have a dress code\, but we do encourage you to be creative when choosing an outfit for the party.\, and to leave your everyday behind.\n⦿ Is taking photos inside the club allowed?\n– No. The Expeditions\, and :// about blank have a strict no-photo policy. We also strongly encourage you to check in your phone at the cloakroom and lose the feeling of time. This is\, however\, not mandatory.\n⦿ Is the Expeditions a safe space for minority groups?\n– The Expeditions\, and :// about blank in general\, are a safe space for any ethnicity\, gender or sexual orientation. Any sign of racism\, sexism\, antisemitism\, or homophobia will not be tolerated. In addition\, you are requested to familiarize yourself with the principles of consent\, and to respect the personal space of any fellow guest. The admission staff only has but a few seconds to make a decision\, and it is often more based on the situation inside the club than on you.
