SUMMARY:Expeditions
DESCRIPTION:▆ Lineup\nJamaica Suk\nJuan Evangelista\nSpecific Objects\nSvreca\nKIBE Showcase with:\nCobert live\nFlo Massé\nFlora live\nSevda\nEN ▆ DE\n▆ About the Expeditions\nThe Expeditions series was founded in spring 2018 with a clear vision of breaking out of the monotony that defines most pure Techno nights in Berlin. The concept is to create a clear musical distinction between the different parts of the night. We strive to create a clear beginning and a decisive end.\nThe Expeditions’ main focus lies on the classical and traditional aspects of Techno: from Detroit groove to hypnotic and atmospheric storytelling. It is being complemented by the more contemporary interpretations of the genre.\nWe believe in Techno as a journey\, designed for the dance floor\, rather than for podcasts. “When you Stop Moving\, you Start Dying”\, and therefore\, the common denominator to all Expeditions events and curation is energy and movement.\n▆ What to expect\n⦿ Power Deck: Well curated interpretations of classic Techno music: from Detroit groove\, to hypnotics and atmospheric beats.\nNo minimalism\, no sophisticated preaching.\n⦿ Speed Deck: Young\, fresh\, cheeky and trancy contemporary interpretations of Techno.\n⦿ DJs at eye level\, musically educated audience and Berlin underground at its best.\n▆ FAQ\n⦿ Is there a dress-code? – No\, the Expeditions doesn’t have a dress code\, but we do encourage you to be creative when choosing an outfit for the party.\, and to leave your everyday behind.\n⦿ Is taking photos inside the club allowed?\n– No. The Expeditions\, and :// about blank have a strict no-photo policy. We also strongly encourage you to check in your phone at the cloakroom and lose the feeling of time. This is\, however\, not mandatory.\n⦿ Is the Expeditions a safe space for minority groups?\n– The Expeditions\, and :// about blank in general\, are a safe space for any ethnicity\, gender or sexual orientation. Any sign of racism\, sexism\, antisemitism\, or homophobia will not be tolerated. In addition\, you are requested to familiarize yourself with the principles of consent\, and to respect the personal space of any fellow guest. In case you feel that you have been treated wrongly\, or that your space has been violated\, please notify our staff at the entrance immediately.\n⦿ What happens if I’m being denies entry?\n– Firstly\, never take it personally. The admission staff only has but a few seconds to make a decision\, and it is often more based on the situation inside the club than on you. In case you already bought a ticket on pre-sale\, make sure that the bouncer uses the rejection feature in the RA Ticket Scanner App\, and you will receive a reimbursement directly from RA.\n⦿ Do I have to buy a ticket in advance?\n– No\, you don’t. The pre-sale is always limited and there are enough tickets available at the door.\n▆ The Expeditions is a Section 8 Berlin series.\nIf you wish to know more\, or to get involved\, feel free to visit our website at:\nsection8berlin.com\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/2162792564237602/

SUMMARY:Pioneers of Black British Cinema: Pressure (OV) – Arsenal on Location
DESCRIPTION:Zum Start der “Arsenal on Location”-Reihe “Pioneers of Black British Cinema” präsentiert das City Kino Wedding:\nPressure (English\, OV) mit Einführung\nRegie: Horace Ové\nUK 1976\, 125 Min.\nEinführung: Henning Koch\nDetails & Tickets: https://citykinowedding.de/pioneers-of-black-british-cinema/ \nIn 1975\, the Trinidad-born filmmaker Horace Ové (1936-2023) became the first Black director to make a feature-length film in the UK. With funding from the BFI\, he directed PRESSURE in a neo-realist style in the West London neighborhood of Ladbroke Grove. The plot follows the 16-year-old Londoner Tony (Herbert Norville) as he tries to find his place in society. As a school leaver looking for work\, he is confronted with the conservative lifestyle of his religious parents from Trinidad\, his brother’s Black Power politics and ideology\, and the racist prejudices of British society. Ové illustrates impressively the dilemmas of the children of the Windrush generation\, who searched for their own identities between the lack of acceptance in their home country and their parents’ dreams of the Caribbean homeland. (German premiere of the 4K restoration by the BFI National Archive and the Film Foundation).\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/726072523166930/

SUMMARY:THEATRE OF HATE (80s UK Post-Punk Icon ) + Poison Machines
DESCRIPTION:Slaughterhouse Berlin + Black Web Concerts präsentieren.\nTHEATRE OF HATE\n(80s Uk Post-Punk Ikon)\nPoison Machines\n(Post-Punk De)\nwww.Kirkbrandon.com\nwww.facebook.com/kirkbrandonofficial\nwww.facebook.com/TheatreOfHateOfficial\nwww.instagram.com/therealkirkbrandon\n\nTickets: https://www.tixforgigs.com/Event/64948\nDoors: 20:00\nBand 1 22:00\nTHEATRE OF HATE 23.10\nAftershow Party:\nRESISTANCE! Post-Punk Night\nDJ: Ilija (BlackWebMontagsduncker)\nDJ: tba\nIn 1980\, Kirk Brandon formed Theatre Of Hate from the ashes of heralded punk band The Pack. Joining Kirk on vocals were notable punk musicians Stan Stammers and Luke Rendall\, along with old school friend\, Steve Guthrie and Canadian born John “Boy” Lennard\, who revolutionised the band’s sound with his haunting sax lines.\nTheatre Of Hate’s debut double-A-side single\, “Legion”/”Original Sin”\, topped the independent chart in 1980\, and “Westworld”\, their debut album\, produced by Mick Jones from The Clash and released in 1982\, held the number one position for 21 weeks. The single taken from the album\, “Do You Believe In The West- world?” has become an anthem and is still widely played in clubs and on international radio\, as well as featuring on numerous compilation albums.\nTheatre Of Hate imploded in 1982\, with Kirk taking Stan forward to form Spear Of Destiny\, but the band has resurfaced over the years to play some very special shows.\nHaving been asked by John Curd to join The Damned for a massive show at London’s infamous Round- house in December 2014 the band once again joined the fray. A short set of dates around the London Roundhouse anchor show attracted rave reviews.\n2015 saw the band play two short jaunts across the UK in April and December both sets of dates wowed large crowds.Whilst touring the band recorded and released\, Kinshi funded by a fans pledge campaign – the first new studio album in 30+ years. The 12 track album launched in November 2016 sublimely linked the past and present to great press and fan acclaim leading to further extensive live shows across the UK\, Europe and the USA.\nWith a now settled line up of Kirk Brandon\, Stan Stammers\, Chris Bell & Clive Osborne (currently deputising for John Lennard) the band released two EP’s I.Sensou (War) & II.Heiwa (Peace) in 2019 which have maintained the ongoing success and paved the way for the bands latest and\, appropriately named\, studio album\, A Thing Of Beauty\, again funded by the growing fanbase via very specially packaged releases on CD & Vinyl. Recorded during the 2020 lockdowns and officially released in March 2021 this venture has already become a favourite amongst the loyal fanbase\, many shows to support the release followed.\nDuring 2023 TOH joined both The Mission and The Chameleons for a now legendary 39 date coast to coast of the USA\, sell out shows with The Mission in Manchester\, Whitby and London’s Roundhouse finished the year.\n2024 will see TOH release a completely re-recorded and re-worked version of their iconic 1982 ‘Westworld” album\, many many live shows are planned across the globe…\nLIVE REVIEWS\n“The setlist is packed with classic Theatre of Hate tracks\, from ‘The Wake’\, through to ‘Legion’ and ‘Original Sin’\, as well as ‘Incinerator’ and ‘My\nOwn Invention’. ‘Judgment Hymn’ soars\, ‘Propaganda’ roars; ‘63’ is flawless\, ‘Rebel Without A Brain’ kicks you in the chest. The quality of songs and their performance is relentless.” Alan Neilson – gettothefront.co.uk\n“We have seen the Stranglers\, SLF\, The Damned and Killing Joke go from strength to strength in the past few years and with performances this powerful and this spell binding it won’t be long before Theatre Of hate join them” John Robb – Louder Than War\n“ What a fantastic band\, playing music that comes from outer space and refuses to be bracketed. Every note conjured by the melding of dark and light energy into a fury of anger\, love and power” Juniper Gavin – Vive Le Rock!\nEARLY REVIEWS FOR “A Thing of Beauty”\n“Oozes every ounce of Theatre of Hate\, mesmerising sax\, haunting bass\, rhythmic skins\, slight but perfect guitar\, and vocals that make the hair at the back of your neck stand up on end…’’\n“i’m lovin all the tracks for different reasons. It’s a blinding album and a great way to end this year on a high note! Long live The Hate!”\n“Did not expect that – absolutely brilliant from the first note to the last…sounds 2020 fresh but stamped with 1982 at its core…the range and depth of this maspterpiece should not be missed….stick it on\, settle back and prepare to be in awe of master craftsmen at work”\nwww.Kirkbrandon.com\nwww.facebook.com/kirkbrandonofficial\nwww.facebook.com/TheatreOfHateOfficial\nwww.instagram.com/therealkirkbrandon\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1344411770139369/

SUMMARY:Horsegirl - Badehaus\, Berlin
DESCRIPTION:VVK-Start am Freitag 13.12\, 11h hier:\nhttps://www.tixforgigs.com/Event/61619\nhttps://link.dice.fm/g8df59b33247\nEinlass: 19h\, Beginn: 20h \nHorsegirl — the New York-via-Chicago trio of best friends Nora Cheng\, Penelope Lowenstein\, and Gigi Reece — announce their second album\, ‘Phonetics On and On\,’ out February 14th\, 2025 via Matador Records\, a Chicago record release show and spring tour\, and release lead single/video\, “2468.” Produced by Cate Le Bon and recorded at The Loft in Chicago\, the band’s original and sonic home\, ‘Phonetics On and On’ is an exploration of the lines between pop\, minimalism\, and playful experimentation. Since the release of 2022’s ‘Versions of Modern Performance\,’ “one of the most confident debuts of the year” (Vulture)\, much has changed for Horsegirl. In the fall of that year\, the three relocated to New York City\, where Penelope and Nora were to attend NYU— this was the first time the trio had written music outside of Penelope’s parents’ basement. The band’s new environment is reflected in the sonic fabric of the record. Through this time of unparalleled change\, the band turns inward. When Horsegirl returned to Chicago to record in January 2024\, they found a focus and intimacy in the studio that can only arise when it’s simply too cold to step outside. Le Bon led them into new\, bright\, clear\, sonic territories\, highlighting the inventive nature of these songs. New tools help bring this world to life; violins\, synths\, and gamelan tiles are all woven into the record. The 11 songs experiment with space and texture while maintaining a pop song at the core. All the while\, a confident simplicity brings the band’s songwriting ability to the forefront. Lead single “2468” is one of the shining examples of experimentation on ‘Phonetics On and On.’ Horsegirl explores Raincoats-like violin parts and kinetic percussion\, building stealthily towards a head-spinning motorik crescendo. Written almost entirely in the studio\, “2468” stands as an achieved byproduct of rewriting and rearranging\, adding and subtracting\, flash-moments of instability\, and embracing the unexpected result. The song’s video\, directed by writer and filmmaker Eliza Callahan and choreographed by Alexa West\, plays on a rhythmic series of quietly humorous\, hyper-specific instructional games. It’s hard to imagine any of these songs being written by anyone but Nora\, Penelope\, and Gigi. Horsegirl write with unanticipated honesty\, leading us through scenes of girlhood and youth. These are moments of their lives. The indelible truth is that Horsegirl is a band of best friends; being around them you can see that love in their eyes and it is always a joyous thing to witness. It’s a love that is ever-present in ‘Phonetics On and On’ as tenderness reverberates back and forth across the recording. ´\n++++++++\nSubscribe to the Puschen BERLIN NEWSLETTER to receive regular updates and win tickets: http://eepurl.com/dvBmBD\nListen to the Puschen SPOTIFY PLAYLIST on https://sptfy.com/d2NZ\n++++++++\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/467586283026469/

SUMMARY:FOUR PLAY 9th ANNIVERSARY
DESCRIPTION:⫸ English\n⫸⫸ ABOUT FOUR PLAY ⫸⫸\nThe Four Play project was born in spring 2016 in order to breach the all-too-serious walls of those days’ Berlin kinky and sex-positive scenes\, and to allow the young and the inexperienced to experiment with many aspects of the kinky lifestyle and their own sexuality in a safe\, moderated environment. With dozens of artists who perform at each event\, the Four Play is to be perceived more as a festival than as merely a party. Since the event received its residency at the notorious Kitkat Club\, it spreads over five or six dance floors\, and multiple other performative areas. Along a carefully-curated\, extremely diverse musical program featuring Techno\, House\, Disco\, Psytrance and even Jazz and Soul\, the Four Play offers performative interactive activities\, either in stations around the club\, or as shows that are integrated into the musical program. At the Four Play\, we expect our guests to express themselves in their choice of outfits\, as well as in the program throughout the night. Our emphasis strongly lies on consent and communication. A large\, dedicated awareness team escorts each event\, and while we highly encourage our guests to interact with one another\, we also require each interaction to be consensual and respectful.\n⫸⫸ WHAT TO EXPECT ⫸⫸\n▻ High-end Techno journey on the Main Floor\, happy modern interpretations of House music in the Dragon Floor\, Psytrance in the small Séparée cellar\, Disco in the Prisma Bar (when open)\, Jazz and Blues in Salon Rouge\, alternating style in the 4th Room (large basement).\n▻ Around 80 Performances\, walking acts and Workshops.\n▻ A Kinky Marketplace to upgrade your outfits.\n▻ Hedonistic safe space for kinksters and LGTBQ.\n▻ A large\, highly dedicated Awareness Team.\n⫸⫸ MUST READ ⫸⫸\n▻ NO PRESALE. Tickets only at the door.\n▻ The Four Play has a strict no-photo and no phone policy. We have a designated photobooth with our photographer\, where photos can be taken of those who wish for it.\n▻ The Four Play is a safe space for any ethnicity\, gender or sexual orientation. Any sign of racism\, antisemitism\, sexism\, or homophobia will not be tolerated.\n▻ You are to respect the personal space of any fellow dancer. In case you feel that you have been treated wrongly\, or that your space has been violated\, please notify our awareness team or our staff immediately.\n⫸⫸ DRESS CODE ⫸⫸\nKinky style: Latex\, leather\, PVC\, vinyl.\nSexy style: Lingerie\, mesh\, sexy swimwear.\nNatural style: Naked or naked with tape\, Garden of Eden style\, ancient Rome style.\nCreative: Wild costumes\, super-heroes\, glittery festival style.\nTips:\n1. Male-read people are more carefully selected\, and would have to be able to prove acquaintance with the guidelines of consent.\n2. Is the usual Kitkat dress code enough?\n– Yes\, it is\, however\, we encourage you to make a creative effort to express your personality\, and to adapt to the Four Play colourful character.\n3. Am I allowed to masturbate next\, or in front of people or playful couples?\n– No\, you’re not. Solo-Wankers are not welcomed at the Four Play and without explicit consent\, are considered an harassment.\n4. What do I do if I or someone around me feel uncomfortable or mistreated?\n– Please report that to our Awareness Team immediately.
